Susan  has been a working artist for more than 20 years. She was trained in Fine Arts and English Literature, graduating with a B.A. from St. Joseph's University followed by post-graduate study towards an MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

Susan's flair for seeing the usual in unusual ways and her love of fine arts has followed her both through her career, in computer graphics, logo design, illustration,  as an art teacher and as a commissioned artist, and in her passion for interesting use of every day materials. Her artistic natural jewelry design - won ribbons 5 years running at the Philadelphia Flower Show - including a first-prize win in 2002, featured in the show's anniversary publication.

Susan's paintings span a range between extreme detail and whimsy, with a special focus on how light turns everyday images into emotional vistas. She continues to accept commisioned work,  but with an effort to pursue a personal vision.
